Claim instructions if you sold an item on eBay

If you purchased ShipCover insurance when you created your eBay label, ShipCover claims must be filed from “My eBay”, “Shipping Labels” (under Sell section on left pane). Select the “Period” on the right (if needed) and search the item number for which you need to file the claim. Click on “Actions” followed by “Create Claim”.

If you do not see the option to “Create Claim”, then the package was not insured with ShipCover and you will need to follow the relevant instructions below.

If you shipped USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail, file your claim at www.usps.com – click Help, then Filing A Claim, then follow the instructions under Step 3.

If you shipped UPS, file your claim with UPS using the specific instructions here – UPS Claims Process for eBay Sellers.

If you shipped FedEx, file your claim with FedEx using the specific instructions here – Shipping insurance | eBay (scroll down to “Filing a FedEx claim”).

If you shipped eBay Standard Envelope or eBay International Standard Delivery, file your claim for the free shipping protection coverage at https://www.pip-claim.com/PIPClaim/eBayIntClaim/CreateeBayClaim.

If you shipped eBay International Shipping, you are only responsible to ship to the Glendale Heights IL hub.  If the package is lost or damaged after that, you take no action.  If the package is lost on the way to Glendale Heights, follow the instructions above for the service that you used.

If you are an eBay buyer, please contact your seller, open an Item Not Received dispute, or open an Arrived Damaged Return Request dispute.
